Switzerland 4–1 Bosnia-Herzegovina: substitute Johan Manzambi's late brace tops Group B

Switzerland dominated possession at SoFi Stadium but struggled to break Bosnia-Herzegovina down until substitute Johan Manzambi transformed the game, scoring twice in a late surge that delivered a 4-1 victory and sent the Swiss to the top of Group B. Introduced just after the 70th minute, Manzambi struck a powerful volley in the 74th minute to break the deadlock following a goalless first half.

The contest swung decisively in the 80th minute when Bosnia defender Tarik Muharemovic was sent off with a straight red card for hauling down Breel Embolo to deny an obvious goalscoring opportunity. Down to ten men, Bosnia were overrun: Rubén Vargas added a second in the 84th minute, set up by Embolo, before Manzambi grabbed his second on a Vargas assist in the 90th minute.

Ermin Mahmic gave Bosnia a consolation with a thunderous volley in second-half stoppage time, but captain Granit Xhaka had the final word, converting a penalty deep into added time to complete the rout. The win left Switzerland in command of the group, while Bosnia-Herzegovina remained on a single point.
